The StripNobody has met Accounts

A four-panel strip. A creator follows up on an invoice, twice, while sticky notes pile up. The brand's marketing lead tells her spreadsheet she is checking with Accounts. The last panel is a closed door marked Accounts, with a cobweb.

  1. Day 12
Hi! Just following up on the invoice 🙏
  2. Day 47
    Hi, following up again :)
  3. Meanwhile, Neha
    Checking with Accounts!
  4. Accounts
    Nobody has met Accounts.

The new meta

Five rules the industry will run on.

Not because we say so. Because every story in this paper is what happens without them, and nobody wants to be the next one.

  1. Agree before the work, not after.

The fee, the deliverables, the deadline and the payment schedule are settled in writing before anyone picks up a camera. Work that wasn’t on the offer is a new offer.

  2. Approval is a record, not a feeling.

Work is submitted, reviewed and approved on the deal both sides can see. “Can you just change one thing” has a note, a date and a place on the record.

  3. Pay on delivery, not on trust.

The brand marks it paid, the creator confirms it landed, and both of them see both. Nobody has to ask where it is.

  4. Fit beats followers.

A creator is chosen for how well their audience and their posts match the brief, not for the size of the number under their name.

  5. Reputation is earned on the record.

Paying on time is a fact, not a claim: every offer a brand sends carries how many of its deals it paid on time. Good habits accrue to the people who have them, deal after deal.

Wanted

A deal that went sideways.

Tell us what happened. We turn the ones that teach something into fiction, with nothing that points back to you, and show how it would have gone on the record.
