Refunds & disputes
Handsel keeps the agreed work, invoices and payment status together in the deal record. Payments are made directly between the brand and creator.
Direct payments
Brands pay creators directly by bank transfer. When a brand approves a creator's work, an invoice is generated automatically, but the actual payment is a bank transfer the brand sends the creator directly. We ask the brand to mark the deal paid once they've sent it, and we ask the creator to confirm once it arrives. Both are self-declared; Handsel does not verify the underlying bank transfer.
Refunds
Brands and creators arrange refunds directly with each other. Handsel does not hold funds or issue refunds on their behalf. Undelivered work, short payments and other disagreements can be raised as a dispute on the deal.
If something goes wrong
Either side can raise a dispute from the deal screen for support review. It creates a record that both parties and our support team can see. Raising a dispute does not freeze funds or automatically pause the deal. Contact the other party to try to resolve the issue; if it remains unresolved, email [email protected] with the deal name.
Sponsored-content compliance
Creators are responsible for following ASCI's disclosure guidelines on any paid or gifted content from a Handsel deal. Brands and creators can both be held liable for undisclosed sponsorships under Indian consumer-protection law.
